Yes, it's part of the Czech "Rust belt" kind of like the Czech Detroit. Cool decaying infrastructure - the City hall has a nice view-tower. And there are some mines and other stuff to explore. It's an hour away from where you live in Poland so it won't be some major surprise but it's worth a weekend or whatever.
